We are also well aware of the INFLATED PRICES that some of the “larger companies” charge to install –
…..the very same kind of Roofline products we offer! !Here are a few Tips… that will keep not just your wallet in tact, but also…. your “peace of mind”! THIS ADVICE IS FOR FREE!!!
1) Avoid “Salesmen” who sell – Roofline Products. Why?
Because they are working on commission, despite what they tell you, usually between 10% – 20% upwards. So on a £2,500 Roofline job, if you sign up with them……. you have probably just paid them around £400 – £500 for 1-2 hours work…WE COULD HAVE REPLACED YOUR ENTIRE GABLE (PVCu – BARGE BOARDS, BOX ENDS, SOFFITS PLUS…MAKING GOOD) FOR THAT MONEY!!!
2) Even if you choose a “so called reputable” company name, it does NOT mean that you will be guaranteed a quality installation.
We know because we have had to put; certain “named companies” work right on several occasions.
3) NEVER allow anybody to persuade you into fixing or nailing the PVCu products (Fascia & Soffit boards) over the top….. Why? Below are 7 x reasons
….Because –
1ST – They are fixing to old timber(s) that are more than likely saturated and rotten. If its not rotten at the bottom of the fascia board, it will more than likely be rotten at the top of the fascia, where it meets the tiles….the ROT tends to work its way down.
2ND – They are more than likely suggesting to “NAIL OVER OR CLOAK” because they cannot, or do not know how to fit “REPLACEMENT” PVCu Roofline properly or correctly.
3RD – They are more than likely “just” working off ladders, this in some cases is illegal, and is against Health & Safety. A proper installation CANNOT be achieved!
4TH – It looks awful.
5TH – It will eventually fall down, because they have only used 30 mm cloaking pins / fixings. We have seen on several occasions – BT cables literally pull off PVCu fascia boards (that have been “Nailed over the existing”) because of inferior materials & poor workmanship.
6th – It will make your home “decrease” in value.
7th – They are only doing around 1/3rd of the work, for sometimes the same money we may quote.

This was a storm damage repair – The entire “Garage roof” (behind the camera) lifted in storms and Gale force winds; bitumen approximately 3-4 mtrs wide was blown mid air….landing on top of this rear extension. Cracking the roof, the guttering and the Patio Doors….Thank fully, the customer had *Home Insurance!
